Product Description
1. Purpose
Mainly used for the extrusion of semi-finished articles during rubber processing. Equipped with different heads(and die) the extruder could be used for the production of tube, strip, cable/wire, rubber-coating, various semi-finished part of tires etc.
2. Construction
A extruder mainly consists of motor, gearbox, feeding device, barrel, screw, head, TCU and electrical control system etc.

3. Brief introduction for extruders structure
Screw
Screw material: 38CrMoAlA, surface hardness could be HV900-950 after nitrited, with hardened depth of 0.4~1.2mm. Additionally, stellite screw(so called be-metal screw) could also be made, which has a layer of around 1.5mm thick stellite metal, and the surface hardness could be HRC58~62. Various types of screw could be designed so as to process different compound with mooney viscosity ML1+4100oC30-120, and to get relatively high output with lower discharging temperature.
Feeding section
Feeding device(section), which is located between the gearbox and the pin-barrel, is equipped with a wide hopper for easy feeding of rubber sheets(or strips) and heatig/cooling channels in the house body for temperature control of this section. The section is inserted by a hardened liner with wide wide ribbed inner threads(rifles), and a feeding roll with hardened surface for compound enforced feeding, which is driven by output shaft of gearbox through gears.
Barrel
This barrel is made of quality alloy steel, equipped with heating/cooling channels of drilled structure to control temperature. The inner surface of barrel could be nitrated with hardness of HV950-1000, nitrated layer arround 0.5mm thick; Or inlayed with stellite metal(bi-metal), with thickness 1.5mm, surface hardness HRC60~64. Multi-row pins are arranged on the pin-type barrel in a way of fixed distance, pins are inserted into the barrel, nearly to screw thread channel along circumference.
Driving
The standard drive device is Z4-type D. C. Motor with SCR. 0.1%speed stability and stepless speed variation between 1-10 times could be realized to get excellent extruding processing properties. However other drive system e. G. Vector AC motor could also be adopted to realize various speed driving and control if required by buyers.
Gearbox
The gearbox can be of vertical or horizontal, its gears are carburized and quenched on surface (hardened gear surface), with processing accuracy of 6-grade, the gearbox has features of small size, long working life and lower noise etc.
Temperature control unit(TCU)
The TCU is composed of closed circulating loops, could be heated by electric power or steam, and cooled through a heat exchander. Temperature adjustment is realized through PID with instrument or PLC. The circulation temperature could be brtween35oC-95oC with controlling accuracy of plus /minus 1.5oC. The quantity of loops depends upon extruder size and process requirements.
Extruder head
Various heads such as those for pipe, strip, feeding for calender, and Tor Y head for rubber coating could be provided. Also duplex, triplex or multi-plex head for making profiles such as tread or sidewal of tires could be designed and manfactured.
